Bono”s charity work takes him all around the world.
But on Christmas Eve, charity began at home for the U2 frontman as he joined some musician friends in Dublin city centre for a busking session.
Shoppers buying last-minute gifts for Christmas in the capital”s Grafton Street were thrilled to see Bono singing his heart.

His friend, Oscar-winning musician Glen Hansard invited Bono to join him and Mundy, Declan O”Rourke and Hothouse Flowers rocker Liam O”Maonlai to busk for charity.
Although the group started off in Grafton Street, they were soon moved to the entrance of St Stephen”s Green Park due to safety concerns.
After the 51-year-old rocker made an appearance at the busking session last Christmas Eve, fans were expecting him to show up again, so quite the crowd was drawing on the busy shopping thoroughfare.
Hansard was announced the busking session on Friday on his Twitter page and urged people to donate money for two homeless charities.

He said: “Busking with some friends tomorrow on Grafton St… Come and throw a coinin the box for Simon Community and the Peter McVerry trust. It”s not our place to judge why people are homeless… It”s our place to help shelter the cold and hungry.. The rest is up to them.

Bono is back in Dublin to spend Christmas with his wife Ali Hewson and their four children Jordan, Memphis Eve, Elijah and John.
Despite being the frontman of one of the biggest groups in the world, Bono recently admitted he thought his voice was “annoying”.
He said: “I do try to avoid it [listening to myself sing]. If I hear our songs on the radio I tend to turn them down. Not because I don”t like them or believe in them. Actually, my voice annoys me. I always think I could have sang it better.
“I am sort of a macho, Irish guy and particularly in those “80s songs, I think I sound like a girl.”
